On December 1st, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke will be speaking in Austin giving the Keynote for the Austin Chamber Annual Economic Forecast. What a great opportunity to hear one of the most influential people in our country speak.
It should be interesting to see what the talk will be about given the current drastically changing economic conditions (stock market dropped 777 points today alone).
The event costs $45 per person but I have a plan to make that back. Every time the Chairman speaks the market fluctuates. I’m not sure if there will be TV cameras but if there are I am planning on yelling out “Buy Whole Foods!” along with the rest of my stock portfolio — maybe I’ll make some money. If you’d like, comment with the stocks you want whispered/yelled at the cameras and I’ll see what I can do =)
